SHOPPING

For many women shopping is more of a hobby than a chore. But with the average shopping trip burning 325 calories an hour, it can turn into a mini workout. Great for your body but beware of putting too much unnecessary stress on your muscles

Don't have the ‘shop until you drop’ ethos - take regular rests or make several short trips.

Don't overload your trolley and use a high 'tray' trolley rather than a large deep one wherever possible.

Distribute your shopping evenly between both hands or hold the bag in front of you.

Wear comfortable shoes. Avoid wearing high heels as they can result in tightness in your calves. Excessive use can also put you at risk of having knee problems, lower-back pain, and even neck and shoulder pain.

Don’t stretch to reach items on the top shelves, staff are happy to help.
